Anyone else having trouble with the new Luminar 3?

I have had the same issues with my install of Luminar 3. I run a Windows PS on Windows 10 with 16gm of RAM and a Tbit of HD. I received this advice from tech support:

-----------------------------
Meanwhile, please try the following steps to get Luminar up and running:
1. Make sure Luminar is closed.
2. Locate your Luminar Catalog folder. The default location is C:\Users\%username%\Pictures\. If you specified a custom location for your catalog, search your custom location.
3. Remove the Luminar Catalog folder. Start Luminar.
4. When Luminar prompts you to create a new catalog instead of the one you've removed, change the default location of the catalog, i.e. place it somewhere other than your Pictures folder. If you have an apostrophe in the path to your catalog, place the catalog somewhere where there's no apostrophe in the path.
Please, let us know how it works.
-----------------------

While this does get Luminar to at least reload, it does nto fix the problem from coming back. At first I thout it had something to do with file names but now it seems to be related to the number of images loaded into the cat file. But that is just a guess. I don't think Skylum has a clue on how to fix the problem. As much as I did not like having to pay monthly for Lightroom, at least it worked.

I followed their steps listed above, also. It never asked me to create a new placement of the catalog folder. It just put it back in the photograph folder. They also said to start Luminar by right clicking and signing on as administrator, after removing the catalog file. All it did was tell me there is a problem with the database and reinstalled the data base on its own. I agree, they don't seem to know what the problem is.

Not really sure I want to give up Photos’ own library organization.
Photos organized in the Luminar library will not be saved in the Cloud.
Still trying to understand the concepts but since I like Apple’s scheme, not sure what to do.
Luminar 18 is great in Photos as a plug-in...
Sorry I couldn’t help but it looks like we all are in the same quandary with Luminar 3.

It sounded so good I thought I would try it along with 3 other programs in which I do like. But I'm floating along in the same boat as the others. Kudos and much snapping to you.-Cyrilda (Susie)-

Loaded with no problems and even transferred my LR catalog without a hitch. The program runs fast and works just fine . . except . . . . . I've tried to create a focus stacked image from 6 separate images and it crashes. Tried several times same result.
I sent a report to the Luminar folks to which they responded with working on issue. That was weeks ago!

I'm still waiting . . . . . . . . .
