The OP asked about the driver shooting out the passenger window, none of the items mentioned so far address the question. A mono pod between the seats is the only I can think of, not much help.

The small gray tubular pipe insulation works great. Extremely cheap, too.
Yep, been using gray foam tubular pipes for years. Just slit the foam down length wise and it fits right on the window glass. Cheap and effective.
I give them out all the time. They cost me about twenty-five cents each. I buy at the dollar store the colored plastic floats (about 2-3ft. long). I cut them open (slit with a knife to open the hole going thru the float) then cut them in 6 - 8inch sections. The slit fits on the open window and you rest your camera on the foam pad. All the pros I know have them and use them and are now making them or scrounging them from to give away.
I've been using pool noodles, they work very well.

Piece of foam pipe insulation. Slips right over the edge of the window. Raise and lower it as needed. Put vehicle in park first.

Yes, my mini/car pod ....
a SHORT monopod could also work with a good head.....but not as ergonomic
..
There are even beanbags with a mounting screw.
Piece of hollow foam tube or pipe insulation. Cut to length, then slip it over the window glass, position the glass up/down where you want it.
An alternative is a neck rest for sleeping on airplane or at home in a chair. Place that over the window door frame.
For my use with a 200 mm max lens, either of these works great and costs almost nothing. 👍🤓👍
I can't do it while driving, but while in the driver's seat, I hunch down so I can see through the passenger window after it is rolled down, then use my body as a stabilizer. Or stop and get out to take the pic. Or, as when I was driving through Glacier NP with a raging head cold, tell husband to grab the camera, aim, and push the shutter button (for a grizzly he spotted up on the hillside). At least he enjoyed the sights!

I so glad you brought this subject up ......I will be making a bracket to modify my existing minipod/carpod to more easily accommodate this situation.

Search B & H for camera rest for car window - about 3 came up. Pretty much a clamp with tripod ball head. I just use a folded towel or a bean bag.
Bean bag is most practical.
