My point is that guns provide a very efficient means to someone's murderous motive, while providing him more opportunities to use it in a crime. The angry jilted lover, the addict looking to rob someone to pay for a fix, the crazed individual angry with the world can quickly do so much more damage with a gun than a knife. I would also guess that the need to close within arms reach to stab someone is more complex then pulling the trigger of a gun from some distance away. Because it is more complicated, and more personal, it would be less likely to occur. It would also be less likely to cause death when it does.
According to Wikipedia, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, in 2016, the UK had 791 intentional homicides for 1.2 per 100,000. The US had 17,250 for 5.35 per 100,000.

Not only is the bullet deadlier than the blade, it can reach out much further than arm's length. Guns and knives really cannot be compared with each other.
B.S. A knife is just as deadly as a firearm, different applications, one is not really better than the other, just different. Apples and oranges.

None of the knives I buy are confiscated ,they are just so dull and no sharpness left at all they think it's less costly to rebuy
Than pay $4 for a resharpen , why not buy a new one , instead there good for about a year tell you have put a complete new edge onthem
