Adorable post and lovely shots, Ron! They know who feeds them for sure...and never you mind the neighbors!

Thanks Donna...

You have what is known as animal magnetism I assume. And or some real smart birds. Anyway it works out to some nice photos.

Another one of my buddies...I put the hose on the lawn to give it a good soak, last week before this week's storm, and Dad came down to gather some food for the new chicks. He's become very friendly and trusting, like my little Honeyeater Mate, and is quite happy running around under my feet when I'm sitting on the patio or outside anywhere..I always wonder if the neighbours hear me as I sit there and whistle and make all sorts of "bird" noises to make my bird friends more trusting..surprisingly it seems to work...

Ron, a fantastic series and the DDLs show his lunch in great detail.

Greg

A High Five for not only the photos but his trust in you.

I had to laugh when you mentioned your neighbors thoughts, hearing you make bird calls, etc. I am mortified each time my husband strolls the yard, staring into the trees making the cat bird sound. I should take a video. Love our birds!!!

Wonderful shots of him, Ron! You must be a "bird whisperer."

Thank you Janos, I've had a "way" with animals and birds all my life...some of the birds I've rescued over the years, usually after being hit by cars, were quite happy to sit om my arm for ages before they eventually flew away...in the old house, I used to feed wild Crested Pigeons (just a snack, not enough to sustain them so they didn't become reliant) out of my hand while their chicks were sitting on my arm...

your little buddie is a cutie, and looks like he found plenty of food to eat. if I was your neighbor
and heard you making bird noises, I would be curious and rush over to see what the heck you were doing.
that would probably scare your buddy away though. lol.
