Another one of my buddies...I put the hose on the lawn to give it a good soak, last week before this week's storm, and Dad came down to gather some food for the new chicks. He's become very friendly and trusting, like my little Honeyeater Mate, and is quite happy running around under my feet when I'm sitting on the patio or outside anywhere..I always wonder if the neighbours hear me as I sit there and whistle and make all sorts of "bird" noises to make my bird friends more trusting..surprisingly it seems to work...

Excellent set Ron, those blackbirds are very adept at pulling worms out!

Nice photos, but what is it? Looks like an American Robin but the wrong color. Is it just called a Black Bird?

Thanks Sylvia, what he has there are some earwigs grubs and other assorted things as well as worms, didn't think he's get any more into his beak..

Nice set, Ron and they do learn and I have a rabbit that comes almost to me almost every morning while wating for me to toss him a few oilflower seed. Take care!

Adorable post and lovely shots, Ron! They know who feeds them for sure...and never you mind the neighbors!
