Hundreds, and they would occasionally send me a notice telling me how many people had viewed them.

Doesn't make sense, but apparently you're not alone.

Jerry, I had that exact problem with the same message. I called customer service about it, but nothing happened. Finally, I called the customer service again, told the person my tale of woe, and was told she'd refer the matter to the correct department, that I'd get an email from them. ...And I did. I was told to take a screen shot of the message and email it back to them in reply. Then it was fixed! Now I can once again review the things I buy.

I shop at Amazon because I'm too old to go around to all the stores to shop for what I want, and usually they don't have it or they have it in a more basic form than what I wanted. Take water bottles as an example. Walmart has only about two or three brands of the cheaper bottles for an inflated price. So I went to Amazon and found, I don't know, about a hundred different models. The one I purchased meets my requirements perfectly, and I Bet there will be not one store in my area selling it. I also read the reviews, and I noticed that the one stars basically are not about the product itself. I don't read the five stars because they all say the same thing. I've found that the three stars give basically a more accurate review on what to expect. Also, I hardly buy anything that has less than a four and one half stars listed.
Other things I like about them are; free shipping, free movies, more books than Barnes & Nobels, and I don't have to leave my office because I'm too old and partly crippled.

If you read that article it actually makes a lot of sense and Amazon is correct for doing it.

They take their reviews seriously and want to maintain the integrity of the review system, thus they bad abuses. That was the content of the article you linked.

If Jerry's account has been mistakenly banned, that's a separate issue and Jerry can fix it just like the other commenter did.

I just posted two reviews yesterday, one was a bit negative.

I've never had a problem. I've never had a problem calling customer service either.
