I like the color best. But then, blue, particularly the vibrant blue of sapphire my favorite color.

My 2 cents... Because the contrast is so low in the B&W, I’d work on the color version.

The colour is so intense and beautiful. The B&W lacks impact because the colours have nearly all the same density, therefore the B&W comes out a little flat.

Well, the B&W as has been stated has no tonal range, but it has potential. The color version is just way to saturated. Give them another try.

This is perhaps a better B&W version. I used the RGB Channel Mixer - Red 40, Green 50, blue 10. Next followed up with levels and curves adjustment. You could do better with the RAW file. On the color version, I would reduce the saturation a bit. if you have software it may be possible to reduce the blue saturation and up the yellow saturation.

That's a much better B&W.
