I have been working on these
Great work, Tom! Also looks like fun to do!
Simply stated... water is fascinating stuff, mobile, reflective, transmissive, always interesting to photograph as you have done here, zzzynick ..... and good to eat.
I like the last one, it looks like a frog is leaving the water.
So hard to catch just at the right time. I did a series recently, took about 100 shots to get 3 I liked.
Jim, if you read this, You are not joking about a hundred shots to get 3. I am using a MIOPS splash. I have the unit set on flash, it seems I am always a little late on the shutter. Any advise?
Thank you all for the kind replies

I did it all DIY. No machine just hung a soaked paper towel above a full wine glass and using the flash to make the exposure. I did it on our dinning room table first laying down a white towel then solid white dinner dish then a small wine glass. Backdrop was black. Flash coming in from the right side. Added color in Lightroom. My first set was posted here:
https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-553183-1.htmlTried a colored jell on flash and did some with milk. I m thinking about asking my wife for the SplashArt MKII kit for Christmas.
Last one looks like an aqua-sloth.
Thanks Jim. I have the gels also, used them on the bottom one. The others I used blue food coloring in the glass and orange in the dropper.
Good job on these, Tom! It look like a lot of fun to do.
I appreciate the technical skill if not the images themselves. I think there are at least two levels to appreciate a good photo and one is the technical. The other is the ability to present an image with an honest emotion embedded in it and a presentation style that supports that idea. Anyway - Good show on the set of photos here. Well done.
