Ha, ha! I've been called a prick ever since I was a small child but I always knew what my mother meant.

Time spent in the library is invested, not wasted. A man who does not read
has no advantage over a man who cannot read.

Sweet Willie's name and text worry me, Quote "Time spent in the library is invested, not wasted " mmm if you put your glasses on the book rather than your bl***y head i reckon you are wasting your time. Nice shot Ian

sweet Willie is cool. It sounds like either a pool shark or a Mississippi delta blues singer. I can hear that harmonica now, as sweet Willie lays down some tasty hedgehog blues!

The cops in England were formed by a guy called Robert Peel and were nicknamed "Peelers" or "Bobbies" as there uniforms began to evolve the rascals took to beating them over the head with anything heavy so some one developed safety helmets made out of copper hence the name "Cops" came about.
The term "The Old Bill" expression is a name coined I guess in the last 40 years or so! From I know not where! Haha

The crooks would shout out here comes the "OLD BILL" which became part of the English Language.

I have heard the term Old Baily for some court before. I like
English writers and you can learn things even from fiction. Sweet
Willie came from an old ballad about "Sweet William and Lady
Margret". I was caught listening to it and the name evolved to
Sweet Willie. I was branded.

Wasting Time In the Library waiting for the rain to stop, saw this bible laying there, slipped my glasses on the book and took this quick. I liked the soft back lighting.

I love the fact that a picture is visualized while just sitting there and it becomes art. Often we need to "see" what's in front of us, not wait to travel to exotic places to find find that moment.
