Hi Jederick,
Update on the San Juan Mountains/Telluride. Just beginning. Seems like timing is normal but I have no idea how vibrant the colors will be due to the drought we are experiencing. My guess is another 7-10 days before it is worth coming. Will update again with photos when there is something worth while to post.

Hey, thanks for the update! Still trying to time my trip to Colorado based on local reports. Thinking I may arrive in your area around 9/24 if colors are peaking. Will wait til you do your photo update.

Thanks Sue, yes but the colors were hard to come by. Maybe in 10-14 days they'll be close to peak colors.

Took a looooong drive through the Watsatch mountains yesterday without much luck. Knew it was a couple of weeks early but what the heck. Anyhow, some maples have turned along with oak brush. Aspens above 8000' are just starting to show color with a few small patches in full yellow and most of that on the east side of the range.

Our house is part way up the mountain and I can see the color changes progressing...we may have peak color foliage in 10 days or so...won't be long now!!
