B&H now ships FedEx. Gone are next day arrivals!

B&H has switched main carriers in favor of FedEx a short while ago. Now, instead of receiving my orders the next day, it takes two days. I live in PA about 100 miles from the store and less from the NJ warehouse. I've complained, to no avail. I get it, it's more about money than customer satisfaction! If this affects you as well, I ask that you complain to them. If enough of us complain, perhaps a change will be made. Please don't mistake my comments. I still am a big fan of B&H, I'd just like to get this issue resolved! Thanks for listening.
I can see why they changed. B&H shipped a new iPad to me via UPS and it never got here. They had to resend my order. I doubt they ever got the lost iPad back so they lost money on that order. I can't remember what else was in my order but they had to replace that too.
Is the shipping free to PA? I ordered some film last week, ordering after lunch on Tues. Film arrived before noon on Thursday, free shipping. No problems there. Although, maybe moving to Chicago isn't the desired change ...
Personally, I don't see what the problem is. B and H's decision is both business and customer oriented. That works out best for both entities.

Good grief! Can one be soooooo spoiled that two-day shipping is agonizing? Gosh, I can remember when a week delivery made me happy!
We have become a society where we expect instant gradification. Waiting an extra day For my order. How is someone to live under those conditions. LOL For me personally to wait an extra day and get shipping free is ok in my book. Amazon for most of their products is two day delivery. And we pay $120.00 a year for the privilege.

Agreed. There are times when two days is just fine. There are also times when I need something now and I was able to depend on B&H for just that. A good example for me would be printer ink for my Epson P800. I don't pre-stock it as I like it to be as fresh as possible. There are situations when a large order may come in completely unexpected and I am in need of more ink. Having B&H a day away, avoided driving to get more ink. No, it's not the biggest deal in the world, but I would like it to go back to the way it was. Perhaps I am just too old and cranky?

Is this a real complaint? Don't wait until the last minute before you need something. Plan ahead a little more. Two day shipping where I live means four days at best, either company. Even two day shipping is like some rainbow in the distance, you can see it but you can never get there. If you need it tomorrow and it's only a hundred miles away, than crank up some music and enjoy the drive. I'm not feeling that this is really any kind of 'issue.'

It's REAL! I'm not USUALLY the one who doesn't plan. That would be my customers who all of a sudden need 100 prints by later today for their party, or something like that. Under normal circumstances, 2 days is fine, but one-day is a very nice back-up. I would also give up shipping to live in Alaska - lucky dog!
B&H offers overnight shipping. If you're too cheap to pay for it, you don't need it.

Slow shipping is part of the price of living here, but it's worth it. I do feel your pain when you're waiting for that new lens or other gear. We learn to just go with the flow.

Fedex does seem a bit messed up at times. I just got a small order from B&H. Since I moved to Delaware everything got here next day until now. The latest order went Fedex. It went to two locations in N.J. before going to West Virgina. From there it came back to Delaware to my local post office for delivery.
They did the same thing with an Amazon order (I think they since dropped Fedex) that came from the Amazon warehouse in Delaware, 40 miles from my house. It took 5 days for it's round trip to West Virginia.
As for B&H, if I need something from them in a hurry I will pay for the overnight shipping.
