While walking the dog, I spotted both the black version of the female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and a Black Spicebush Swallowtail...

Yeah, but my iPhone 6s requires me to get too close & then they flew off. Not really a big deal though as I have images of both species already...quote=PixelStan77]No cell phone with camera?[/quote]

Sometimes a man just has to pick between his dog and his camera, then live with that decision for the rest of their lives!!! LoL

I'll take my dog every time. I've had good dogs all my life, but can honestly say Clops is the best. My life is SO much better because of him. Now we're getting old together....

Yes, I take my dog everywhere too!
In fact, a few years ago I did an experiment, I took the wife to the pound and traded her in for another dog! Hey, I gotta cook now but the dogs NEVER say, “no, you can’t buy another lens”!!!
Life is grand now!!!

One thing you do have to say about that beautiful dog, Scott, is that he does make you get out and walk, doesn't he??? Had a Springer that used to Jog with me each morning. Jogging was never the same after Barney passed on.

As to missing the shot??!! Maybe a small pocket-sized, good quality camera, with some decent lens reach to always have on your walks, would be a good purchase for you? Thinking of something like the Panasonic DMC ZS 50, 60, or 70??

Just a thought!
