Greenwood Lake has fond memories from the 60s when the drinking age there was 18 but across the line in NJ (where I lived) 21. Glad to have survived the late rides home over back roads totally dark.
We traveled on a Navy C121 during the spring and summer of 1970. It was the Blue Angel's support plane before the C130 took over (Fat Albert). We'd fly out of NAS Quonset Point on Friday mornings, headed to wherever the Angels were that weekend. We were a drill team and band. They'd also stop at NAS Lakehurst and pick up the Navy Chuting Stars. Saw quite a bit of the East and Gulf Coasts that summer.
Even after flying on commercial jets, the Super Constellation was a smooth flier.
The USAF museum has "Columbine", the aircraft that President Eisenhower used as "Air Force One".
My first commercial flight was on a Connie when I flew to San Antonio/Lackland to report for active duty and pilot training, July 1958. Ye Gads I'm getting old!
When we were prepping for this year's airshow, it was amazing to see how many empty beer cans there were at the Old Jungle Habitat parking lot that we used for the show. Seems like old habits never go away

A nice set of photos, thanks!!
Barbers was our destination when I flew as 2nd radioman out of Pt Mugu NAS in 1969. After that I flew with VW-1 out of Guam flying typhoons. Also out of DaNang over the gulf as radar cap. Great aircraft that wore many hats in the military.
