I have my used, quality digital equipment for sale and would like to avoid the complications with Craigslist, eBay, and ruthless dealerships. Anyone have any suggestions for me? I'd really like to find a company who would trade my equipment for new equipment. I've read the Robert's Photography has a good reputation.
I feel bad when I see anyone wanting to sell their their quality equipment to major retailers. It is too bad you feel ebay and others are complicated. I have been selling on ebay for over 12 years and found that I receive 50-80 % more for my valued equipment than trading it in to major retailers. Even when you figure in the percentages ebay charges I am still well ahead of what I would receive if I sold it to a major retailer.
Hey, it's YOUR money, you can do what you want. Just remember, last time I checked good digital equipment is not cheap. Why give money away to major retailers when you can do it your self and have a lot more MONEY in your pocket for your next equipment purchase. Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.

I'm sure you will have no problem dealing with Roberts or any like store. However, you may get a better price on eBay and sites like those.
I used to sell cameras on consignment in my local DC camera store. Always bought more than I sold.
I would agree with ggenova64, list it here and make it available to people that appreciate its value.
I’ve used B&H. It was easy-peasy and fair. I’ve also used Hunts, they were great too

I've used mpb, and keh, never had a issue. Just don't expect to get top dollar. Oh and check around because they don't offer the same price.
I always get far more than half when I sell my used stuff to get new stuff at Allens Camera. That is what the OP wants to do I think. I am a pro of over four decades and this is the best pro camera store I have ever dealt with for new and used gear. A family owned and operated business, totally honest, fair and professional.

I've had great success with Adorama

My experience has been with mpd and it was good.

I sold a 6D to B&H some time back. Considering the whole "retailer needs to make a profit" thing, I found them to be fair and easy to deal with.
I have also sold a couple of DSLR's as well as various lenses here on the Hog. I usually just tell the buyer to mail me a check when I send them the tracking number, provided they are a long time member. Never a problem. I set my price by getting an estimate on the item from a major retailer, such as B&H or Adorama and then seeing what they are selling the same item for used. Then I just split the difference.

I got an email from KEH this weekend they are giving extra for good used equipment.
I have dealt with them with good success.
Remember you will be selling to them at wholesale not retail value so you will get less but save the hassle so is that worth the dollars.

Its been my experience that Craigs List is the best vehicle for selling your camera equipment. Have used this system for years, meet usually at a Starbucks. Never had a bad experience and get at least 30% more. Good luck!
a few years ago, I offered my 1937 Rolleiflex w. Leather felt-lined case, an excellent old Leica 35mm camera, a light meter and all the original manuals plus an article about Frank Capa's use of this Leica camera during WWII. They offered me $125. and said it was 70% of what they would sell the gear for.
The offer was absurd. They claimed it was 70% of what they would sell the gear for. Needless to say, I have refused to do any business with this firm ever since.
