Mr Trump is damaged goods. He was obviously raised to believe that life is a zero sum game, that the law of the jungle is the only law applicable to Trump males, that any admission of error is a weakness. These character flaws were bad enough when Mr Trump was a private citizen - witness the Trump University swindle and his refusal to pay his contractors - but when translated to the Office of the Presidency they are a recipe for disaster. His lack of any moral center helps explain his attempt to blame Democrats for his vicious border policy, although as we have just seen an Executive Order was sufficient to "reverse" his wretched policy. Trump will never own his mistakes. It's always someone else's fault. He is a weakling. He is a morally deficient monster. Our country will suffer from his amoral, self-serving depredations for many, many years.

The way the Democrats ginned up a fake issue and blamed the law on Trump and thus forcing him to use an EO to place a Band-Aid on the issue is not going to turn out well for the Dems.

I believe that where Trump was willing to work with the Dems to try to fix the immigration issue, this little trick of avoiding the issue and forcing Trump to do something like that is going to cause Trump to refuse to work with the Dems on immigration in the future.

Read his book, Trump is VERY vindictive and he's not going to take this well. This was an issue that needed to be fixed legislatively by Congress and the Dems refused to sit down with the Republicans and deal with it. Trump will retaliate against the Dems, mark my words.

Schumer is the big schemer here. His order of loyalty is as follows: Schumer, the Democratic Party and that's as far as it goes.

Watch and learn.

Mr Trump should realize that you can't always get what you want. But that is an adult realization, and Mr Trump is an example of arrested development, stuck at perhaps the level of a particularly nasty fourth grade bully. Mr Trump was/is unwilling to consider a clean immigration bill, trying to get his $25 billion wall fantasy funding up front. Furthermore, what would it have cost him to have honored the commitment to the DACA folks? A man of honor would have continued a promise made to these innocent young people, who in good faith made themselves vulnerable. But then, I've answered my own question! Mr Trump is totally without a shred of honor or common decency!

You say "very vindictive" as though it were a strength. I see it as a major weakness.

Right you are! As I said earlier, Mr Trump is damaged goods. His soul must have shriveled down to the size of a peppercorn, if indeed he has one.

I hadn't heard that - - a very astute comment, but then Moyers is nothing if not astute...

I am not saying it's a strength or a weakness. I'm just telling you that Trump is very vindictive.

“I put lipstick on a pig,” --Tony Schwartz, the ghostwriter.

The book may be Trump's, but he didn't write it.

The ghostwriter for Donald Trump was Tony Schwartz, who spent 18 months with him gathering the information for the book. I heard one blurb from him today that Trump has no conscience. Mr. Schwartz regrets ever writing that book, because he knows from first hand experience exactly what Trump is. Read some articles for yourself:
