Hello Hedgehoggers -
Just new to the forum. Looks very interesting - w/good fellowship. Looking forward...
Just to introduce myself
I'm a (semi)retired graphic designer, with background in architecture too. I started shooting in college (many!) years ago.m a Nikon guy. Ever since rented an F in college for a project, shot 20 rolls of Kodachrome (with zero SLR experience), and every image was perfect! Got my first Nikon (F2 - still my favorite film camera) in 1974. In my design career, also began using 4x5 in mid-80s to shoot still life & product for packaging, catalogs, etc. But my main love is still shooting coastal-nautical-marine subjects and scenics along our shores with my Nikons.
Currently working on several contemporary-vintage travel poster collections. Combining my own photos with unique typography and photoshop techniques.
Attached are a few images for your perusal. Your comments and critiques are always welcomed.
Thanx, Bill Thauer, CapeScapesCoastal

Beautiful work, and welcome from a fellow Masshole now living free (or maybe dying?) in NH.
Practically grew up just north of the Sagamore Bridge; I have many fond Cape Cod memories.
Andy
Thanx Andy.
The Cape was a great place to raise our kids. And for shooting...
Bill
Welcome to UHH Bill, glad you joined us. Some very nice work! I am also a Nikon guy. Got an FTN and Nikomat in the middle 70's and now shoot with a D7200 and D7100. Still have my 35mm cameras.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.
Don
Great work, Bill and welcome to the UHHs. Judging by the work you submitted an linked I think you have a great wealth of information and experience to provide to us. Hopefully, we might be able to help you too.
Ed
Welcome & a heck of a introduction. Beautiful work - I grew up in MA and have a passion for lighthouses!
Ed - Hope so. Glad to be on board...
Hey Don-
Thanx. I'm (still) using D200 (mostly) now. Saving for a D850...
Thanx Dave -
I do too. I'm guessing I'm approaching the 200 range after all these years.
Bill
