Welcome! Great shots! My favorite is the Morro Castle shot. I really like the lighting and texture. The lighthouse in winter is also really nice. Lighthouses, barns, fireworks, and flowers are my favorite subjects so I really appreciate the shot in winter as most of my shooting is in warmer weather. On my bucket list of things to do when I retire in a couple of years is to drive the entire circumference of all the Great Lakes and photograph all the lighthouses along their costs. Please excite us with more of your work.
Mike
Welcome to the forum. Very nice images.

Thanks Ed.
Glad there are still some of us Nikon people still out there... Looking forward to seeing some of the images from all the community as well. As a designer, I do like to fool around and experiment with Photoshop. Always learning…
Cheers, Bill
Hi Mike -
I like the Morro shot too (mostly for just the reasons you mention). And a side note - It’s fairly well cropped - the overall shot included much more wall.
Great that you like lighthouses - one of my passions. I like to try to get them in unusual angles/weather/light. I’m definitely not a “blue sky” guy… Mentioning the Great Lakes – I’m originally from Michigan (Grand Rapids). A few years back I dragged my wife on an excursion around Lake Michigan. Didn’t take enough time, but got a good number of the shoreline lights in Wisc & western Mich on that trip.
Cheers, Bill
