I’m taking my new Nikon D7200 to the beach this year, but I’m worried about getting sand in it. Any suggestions on how to get great pics on the beach without dirtying up my camera.
Thanks.

Keep your camera in your camera bag at all times, except to take pictures. Do not change lenses on the beach. Be sure that you have a filter on the lens. Stay away from kids who kick up sand. Pay attention to wind strength and wind direction. Bring a fine brush to clean your camera if needed. I dropped my D7100 in the sand in Nicaragua a few months ago. It just slipped off a low table so it was not damaged. (If you have to drop your camera, sand is not a bad place to do it.) I brushed off the sand for half an hour with my toothbrush. So you see that I speak from experience. My camera is fine, by the way. Enjoy your trip to the beach, and take lots of pictures!
Good information. Thank you.

It is. Or do as the guy said and buy a different camera for your beach excursions. If that makes sense?
I have a Nikon AW120 (good to 30 feet or so under water) I take on small boats and beaches. There is a later version that, I suppose, is better. My wife completely destroyed a nice point-and-shoot at a beach some years ago so I am beach-averse with my other Nikons.

DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAMERA TO THE BEACH.

Don't drop it! That's pretty much it. Just keep it off the sand and you should be fine.
In addition to the good advise by zug55 do not forget at the end of the day to clean thoroughly your camera and lenses with a damp small towel and let the gear dry at room air before storing it.
I carry my camera on the beach all the time, except for in a strong wind, and I’ve never, ever had a problem.
No camera = no pictures.

Very interesting. Sounds like a solution for many people.
I keep it in my backpack at the beach with a clear filter and lens cap on when not actually using it. After each use I wipe the lens, brush off any sand I may have picked up, put the lens cap on and put it back in my backpack. I've taken hundreds of shots at the beach and never had a problem.
I take my camera to the beach and anywhere else I want to take photos, why buy a camera if you are not going to use it? You can always get it cleaned. Do heed the advice not to change lenses on the beach unless you are completely sheltered. But, even then, could most likely get it all cleaned after you get those great beach shots!
There are inexpensive rain jackets for cameras that help protect against mist and sand. I have used them at the beach but if the wind is blowing up the sand and sandblasting everything in site (happens in Oregon) I don't go to the beach with or without a camera. You can check the Internet for wind conditions before you go.
