Let’s all hope NIK survives!
I haven't encountered any bugs either. Works every time I use it -- and that goes for all the modules. I call it from Photoshop.
I wonder how much they will charge for the NIK Collection? I got the free version and I'm happy with it.

The collection cost $500 before it became free. I'm guessing that DXO will probably price it out similarly to that. I'm also guessing they may even sell individual parts of the collection separately, so if all you really want is Silver Efex Pro, you wouldn't have to buy everything. I'm basing my guess as a registered DXO software user. But of course, it's only a guess.
The downside for DXO is that's since the free version is being used by so many people and if I recall does not require registration, there is a great likelihood of people sharing this current version with others rather than those folks purchasing a new version. There would have to be a compelling reason, like a significant upgrade, for people to spend a lot of money on this product when getting a free copy directly from a friend or fellow photographer may be possible. Time will tell how they will eventually enhance and upgrade this collection, but I'm guessing their first version will be extremely similar to what we are all familiar with.

It dropped to about $250 - which is what I paid - and then when Google offered free, they actually reimbursed some folks $150 who had purchased in 2016:

recent free acquisitions, there are many of us who got a "bargain" awhile ago. Though I said I'd buy again if there are desirable/attractive changes to what I already have, I guess it would actually depend on a number of factors.
I just thought I would point out, the free NIK distribution from Google is still available and it's working just fine for me. Just search for "Google NIK collection"
Where does one get the product free the latest price DXO Photo Lab was around $99 or higher for the Elite version?

That's a different product, and its never been free. Only the NIK collection, of which DxO has only recently bought, was free.
I find I cannot "Save" edited versions from the free NIK Color Efex Pro4. Is NIK saying this will be fixed in June? Zucco

Nik isn't saying anything. It isn't a company The new owner, DXO, is introducing its first release of the Nik collection in June. Supposedly this first release will fix some bugs although it's not clear which ones they are.
I've been using the Nix software (mainly its Silver Efex Pro and its Color Efex Pro) for years without encountering a single bug.
The DXO reference to fixing Nik software bugs very likely aims to produce sales by inducing doubt among users.
Marketers will say or do almost anything to gain a sale.
Beware the DXO sell-job.

As a retired software designer I can tell you that all software has bugs. While I agree that to some extent it's a marketing ploy since they have to justify charging for what has been recently free, it doesn't mean they haven't changed or fixed or updated anything. It will be difficult for many people to shovel out $200 or $300 or more for what has been completely free of unless there is some compelling reason to do so. For me that compelling reason might be tight integration into their superb raw processing program DXO Photolab. Since an update to Photolab is coming in the same June time frame as the Nik collection I'm hoping that will be the case. In any case, new users will have no choice unless they are able to acquire or download the previously free version from somewhere. DXO has a fairly small development team so that significant enhancements to the Nik collection will likely be some time off.
And of course, on top of everything else, they're currently having a serious financial difficulties and are attempting to restructure. However, a complete liquidation of their assets is always a possibility.

I was referring to the future. At some point, probably very soon, that link will be deactivated. Google can't sell the rights to the Nik Collection to DXO and then continue to give it away for free.
No doubt the availability of the Nik Collection from Google will stop in time. I sense Google arranged to keep it available until such time DXO could produce a saleable product different from the existing one.

That's my guess as well. We will see what happens in June. With DXO's current financial difficulties I don't see them giving this software away for free.
