I use Corel Paintshop. LR seems to be the favored program on his forum. I probably overlooked it in 'Search'. Thanks.
I use Corel, Topaz and Picassa. :)
I just bought Luminar-Jupiter and it looks very interesting. The how to video n landscape editing was highly interesting and I am looking forward to having time to really dive in after the semester is over. There will be plenty of time as I have tendon repair surgery soon and will be out of circulation for a month. Good time to really study and experiment with the new program.

I use a Lightroom to Photoshop (when needed) workflow.
For 95% of my editing I use Lightroom. Only for deletion of unwanted elements and similar stuff I use Photoshop. If I just want to look at pictures, I use ACDSee
Photoshop Elements (14); I like Adobe Camera Raw, where I do the bulk of my editing.

With respect to all who might disagree, as of this morning, uhh has 85,218 members and you want to conduct an impromptu survey of who uses what post processing software because you think it might help some newbie decided what to use in the future? These kinds of questions seem to me to be a serious waste of a lot of people's time and serve little to no purpose.
You have a good point. What use is a popularity contest? Remember "Different stokes for different folks" - S. Stone. EXPLAINING each program may actually be useful.

Buy the Affinity Photo Workshop book. It costs $50.00, but then again, "there ain't no free lunch in anything". It works. It speeds up the learning process. PSE-15 is pretty archaic compared to the capabilities of Affinity. I almost upgraded from PSE - 12 to 2018. Boy am I glad I did not. I am interested in B&W and photo stacking in particular. Affinity is fabulous in B&W and medium in stacking. If their stacking really works for my applications (the question is how many frames will it handle; Helicon say's they can handle a thousand) it will pay for itself in helping me to make a choice of Zerene or Helicon somewhere down stream, if that becomes necessary. The menus, sliders and functions are endless, however, this is purely an indication of the potential in the program. The book systematically leads you through the maze. After a few hours of concentration, you get the hang of it all, and things speed up. Enough of my marketing.

I just might do that; thanks for the tip.
I use Acdsee Ultimate 9 and Nikon Capture NxD
Affinity; sometimes use PSE for RAW pp.
ok I do open source a lot but the onl important thing is does the software work the way you want it to
um Gimp is you chooe how much and once you invest the time there are things Photoshop can't do
As I see it: There are a lot of photo editing software packages out there. If you have one it's either you like it or you don't or ( maybe ) it could be better. All software and people have a learning curve. Some easy - others not so easy. Then there is the fact that once you learn what you have, somewhere along the line you may wish it could do more. What someone else has, may OR may not be what you need. The grass is always greener on the side. In the editing business, as software companies constantly update their product, there are other companies coming onto the scene saying they can do more and better. Buyer beware! Look before ya leap. Things may not be what they appear to be. There is a reason a beautiful rose bush has thorns.
