I use Luminar and Affinity. Like them both. I can open Luminar in Photos on the Mac and do my Raw processing right in Photos in Luminar. I find it does a great job using filters and layers. The erase tool usually does an excellent job. I use it a lot to eliminate power lines. I watched a lot of tutorials to get the hang of it.

There are some features I have been using since it was only macphun plugins before the release of Luminar 17 then 18. Since it still doesn’t have a DAM (Digital Assets Management) it is not my primary PP app but it does work quite well on my Mac now. IMHO, if you looked at the examples from Nix and others you will probably process OTT like a lot of Luminar users seem to do (especially with the sunray filter, laughs ). My go to app is On1 Raw 2018 which has DAM and many of the features I left behind in moving from LightRoom after Adobe stopped selling any proprietary licenses and went to the SaaS model. It gets better and better with every release...

Has anyone purchased LUMINAR 2018 for their MAC?
I've followed the instructions but it still thinks I'm using the one week trial and is asking me to pay for it again?
Just starting to get into this program but it looks amazing.
Thanks for all your help.

Yes I've been running it since is was released. I was running the earlier version as well before I got 2018 (and CK bundle before that).

I'm running it on a MacMini Late 2012 2.5 Intel Core i5 16GB Ram 1TB H/D running High Sierra.

Mine was an update to my earlier version Luminar Pluto and it all worked like a dream. Persevere it's really good software! Online support will help you sort it out I'm sure. Good luck.

I pre-ordered Luminar for Mac when it first came out, and have updated as updates came out. I then pre-ordered Luminar 2018 at a considerable discount as a previous Luminar user. I have never had a problem with any version. That does not mean to say that I know how to use it; unfortunately, I'm one of those people who learn as the need arises. However, when a need does arise, they have an extensive collection of video tutorials on their own website, and a Facebook support page https://www.facebook.com/search/str/skylum_support/keywords_search. I have also contacted them by email and they responded in good time. Re your comment about paying for it again, when you first purchased it, you should have received an email with a key (a long series of numbers). When you are asked to pay, there should be a place for you to type in your key, which tells them you have paid and you can then download the app. Hope this helps.
