And God said, I will create for them a companion who will be with them and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration.'

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve.

And Cat would not obey them. And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat's eyes, they were reminded that they were not the Supreme Beings.

And Adam and Eve learned humility.
And they were greatly improved.

And God was pleased.
And Dog was happy.



And the Cat . . .

My experience with cats is that they won't have anything to do with you til they want food. Then they are your best friend; until....they finish eating at which time they sneer and go off on their own.

There's a comic strip in some papers, if I recall it is called, "Get Fuzzy" or maybe something else, but it is about a dog and a cat and their owner. The dog is more naive and the cat is always pulling the wool over his eyes, but sometimes the dog gets his revenge too. As I understand it the author of the comic strip owns a cat and a dog, but doesn't like cats very well. I think he has an ill mannered one. They took it out of the papers here except on Sunday, but I always liked it. The cat always, always had a scheme going of some kind.

I love it. It fits so perfectly. As the saying goes, 'Dogs have masters, cats have staff'. It is so true. Of course, I'm a cat person. They purr, which a dog cannot do.
