there is no way for any state to verify a persons eligibility to register to vote if NO ID of any kind is required A citizen is not required to have a drivers licence, pass port. medicare, social security card. An address is not an id. So if none of these things are required of citizen, and not of an illegal, just how is the registrar to judge a persons's eligibility to vote. I live in Ct. a year ago a local candidate for town selectman knocked on my door ans asked for my vote. I explained that I was not eligible to vote in Ct. She said that she could register me, if I wanted. She never asked for an Id. I could have voted because she is the local registrar. And if no id is reqired in Texas, just how is the registrar to judge if the applicant is or is not a citizen? The illegal alien doesn't care about breaking Texas law as he has already broken the law.

It amazes me that people can't understand what it means for a state to have no voter ID requirements. There are SIXTEEN states plus DC (!!) that have no requirements whatever to show any ID. You can fill out the registration form in any county of those states with any information...fake names, fake addresses...fake social security numbers. You can also register to vote in as many counties you want and no one will question you. You can be illegal, a criminal anything and be able to vote in those states - multiple times if you want to! NO ONE checks for any ID - they aren't allowed to. And until ALL 50 states have voter ID requirements, the popular vote (you know, the one Hillary won) would be a joke.
