It was at the Grand Canyon that I started a folder named “To Stupid to Live”. I have since lost the folder in a computer problem but it was interesting. It was started with a photo of a woman taking her 2 small children over a rail to play and sit on the edge of the canyon. I couldn’t believe it.

Yes, endangering others through personal choices is an inconsiderate action for those who then have to do the rescue.
I don’t think the OP’s picture warrants a potential SAR though.
Most folks just don't realize just how fast things can go south when they're out and about. A number of years ago I read an article in a hunting magazine about bears, especially Kodiaks and Grizzlies.
While these bears look slow and lumbering, they're amazingly quick and fast. Two examples from the author:
A bear can outrun a quarter horse for the first 100 yards. The writer also observed a Kodiak rummaging through a woodpile, and uncovered a martin. The martin attempted to flee between the Kodiak's legs; the bear turned and pinned the martin to the ground before it got two feet away from the bear.
And people seem to forget just how protective a sow can be of her cubs. Even black bears can and have, fatally wound people.
Bison are extremely dangerous, and can charge without hesitation. Those horns are sharp and can be lethal.
People don't understand just how dangerous moose can be. They, too, look slow and lumbering, but they can charge and really harm you if you get within 50 yards with no ready escape route.
PS - Anyone remember the two nimrods who decided to live among the brown bears in Alaska? Darwinism at its most basic.
....speaking of gallows humor...here's a thought to hang on...."Maybe she didn't want anyone looking over her shoulder."

I worked for a public utility company. We got our monthly safety talk which usually started with some pictures of people doing incredibly stupid things. (not my picture)

I have many examples of stupidity, but I don't do "selfies"!
The truth does set us free! Good post!
pesfls, I've some ER nurses that are friends of mine, though not through their profession. The humor behind the scenes in hospitals is gruesome and funnier than hell. I think every profession has it's dedicated humor, even us programmers.

Perhaps my truthful tale rubbed some the wrong way. That happens. So be it. When one spends a lifetime picking up the pieces from some folks stupidity, gallows humor becomes natural. It’s how it is or you don’t survive.

There is always a possibility that you could get a good action shot when stupidity goes wrong. LOL

Here's another one with a small brain!
I was at Yosemite when a man wanted his wife to take a picture of him with a bison. The bison was sleeping. The man kicked the bison to get him/her up. The bison butted the man in the chest. The husband died on the spot.

I agree Bob. Much of what I dealt with as a firefighter/paramedic we joked about but is not fit for family viewing. Some events were genuinely hillarious and some very sad or disturbing. Such is life. That’s why I prefer the company of dogs over a good portion of humankind. I used to tease our young IT guy when passing his office. I’d wave my pencil at him and say, “Kevin, I haven’t had to reboot this sucker all day.” His standard response was, “Go away old man.”

That huge brown thing is a bison? I had no idea they could get that big (east coast city boy here).
I guess it’s God’s way of culling the human herd.
They can easily outweigh a Mitsubishi Mirage, outrun a quarter horse for 100yds. Many are over 6 feet at the shoulder. Huge majestic animals that are the largest mammal in North America.
Hey Latebloomer, I bet you meant Yellowstone not Yosemite! We don't have Buffalo in Yosemite.....easy mistake.
