These are the neighborhood guests that seem to show up at the feeders about once a year...the American Crow. They show up singly or as a pair and can empty the feeders in an instant. These shots from last time they were here were taken with my 400mm prime lens that was on the tripod through the kitchen window. They are so large that I couldn't fit but one of these shots in the frame and that was after he moved...I was all the way back against the far wall.

I love these shots and your captions, Bob! We must not serve what these guys prefer, because I've never seen one at our feeders. Would like to though.

Excellent shots and I love the captions Bob. We get them in our garden very greedy birds.
Great set, Bob, and we have a few with similar tendencies!

These are the varmints that eat all the cherries off my trees in the spring. Noisy too.

love the shots of your unwanted guests and your amusing captions, bob! thankfully they only visit once a year.
the best way to shoot them is through a window because they are so skittish.

That suet that they consumed was made with your recipe. Thanks for visiting!

Thanks, Earl! Do you have crows in Australia or crows?
Bob
I love them. They truly believe making hay while the sun shines.

Morning, Corkie! We see them flying by in flocks every day but, thankfully, they usually shy away. Glad you came by and I appreciate your comment!

Thanks Bob. I read the forum everyday, but usually don't comment.
Yes, I am pleased that they don't eat my trees. On the other hand, I have had pesky woodpeckers make holes in the side of my house so that they can live between the walls in the winter. My home is seasonal-use .... I'm only there spring through fall.
Nice ones, Bob! Wouldn't mind them, but they're so noisy at five A.M.!
