Thinking of purchasing Nikon D7500 refurb. Camera from Adorama. Would this be wise? It's $277 cheaper with just a 90 day warrants. Please give me some suggestions folks.

There is nothing wrong with a refurbished camera that can't be remedied in the initial 90 days. The only real difference is that the refurb has shots on the shutter and that (usually) isn't a bad thing. And, Adorama or B&H are reputable dealers so you should be fine.

Try Cameta Camera. They usually provide a one year warranty.

Not to knock Adorama in any way, because they stand behind their products, but I bought a used Nikon D7200 which didn’t work right out of the box. I quickly exchanged it for a new one. Surprisingly, Walmart has amazing prices on new equipment. Check it out before you buy a used one.

Refurbished is always my first choice. That's a significant savings.

Be confident, a refurb is as good as brand new. Adorama is a reputable dealer.
If Cameta has them they will give you a one year warranty instead of the three months offered by Nikon and Adorama.

I order a refurbished D500 from Adorama for $1439 thinking it would have a low shutter count. Turns out it had more than 43K on it. I returned it for other reasons.

I have heard that "Refurbished" are a very good choice when purchasing a DSLR Camera, from a reputable dealer such as Adorama or B&H, ETC.

I have purchased cameras and lens from Cameta, Adorama and B&H. Keep in mind that the one year guarantee from Cameta is not by Nikon but their in-house repair service. I believe they list it on the page. The 90 day guarantee on refurbished camera and lens is by Nikon. Not sure if that is a big difference to you.

Don’t feel like a chump for buying local from a small retailer. If you can afford it, you’ll help keep your local economy stronger. Too many really good camera shops have had to close their doors. Nothing beats having someone 3 feet away from you show you products.

I purchased a Nikon D7200 refurbished directly from Nikon, as well as a bunch of other stuff. They seem to have a sale on Refurbished unit every month, I think they probably need to clear off their shelves every so often. I've had no issues and saved lots of cash. I recommend going to Nikon's web-site, maybe sign up for email alerts, then you can buy directly from them and save more than you could from a dealer, although I must say that I have purchased from both B&H and Adorama for many years with no issues either.

I may be a chump, but we have a great independent camera shop about 15 miles from us and I purchase all my gear from them. I've even paid sales tax when I could have avoided it. I have gotten some benefits as a result, however. My daughter is out of school for spring break soon (she's a teacher) and I want to taker her over to check out the D7500 to see if she likes the size and feel of it. She wants a DSLR to take better pics of the boys both at home and while participating in sports. Steve Perry recommended the 7500 over the 7200. My daughter has a very good eye for photography, even though she has mainly used her p&s and cell phone.

I do understand that many areas of the country do not have the type of professional camera shop that I'm speaking about. Anytime you're are in the Dallas area, be sure to visit the Arlington Camera Shop, which is not far from the stadiums (Cowboys and Rangers) in Arlington, as well as Six Flags.

Two more good ones in the Dallas-Ft Worth area:

Competetive Camera and
Ft Worth Camera.

About two years ago I bought a D7200 from Adorama. Got a great deal and it had only 15 clicks on the shutter. Could not tell the difference from new! I have never had an issue with any refurbished body or lens I have purchased. If you want to drop a little more cash, you can buy an extended warranty. Go for it!

Read the fine print when purchasing from Walmart. Some of their sources are know gray market dealers, which allow them to advertise lower prices.
