Thank you Sylvia. When are you and Bob coming this way again? I'll have to take you on a short tour of the area unless you want more redwoods.
Never say never Vicki, a few more new places on our list to see.

I spent a good part of my childhood in New York and remember the limitations of winter. It was fun and pretty, but my father had an especially tough time getting to work as well as dealing with all of the snow on the driveway. When we moved to CA, my parents never looked back. A little snow now and then would be a treat filled with new photo ops I think. We can always drive to snow if we want but prefer watching the rare snow flurry melt and run down the drain. I hope your weather improves soon so you'll feel more inclined to get out with your camera gear.
Thanks for the visit and kind comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the set. BTW It's been in the high 60s almost every day. Sadly, the much needed rain is nowhere in sight.

Thanks for posting these beautiful shots of our beautiful Marin County. My wife and I also grew up in New York and also never looked back (except to shout expletives as we crossed the George Washington Bridge in the free direction!). We came out here in 1971 and moved to San Rafael in 1974 after my OB/GYN residency in SF and our kids and grandkids all live in Marin. Where exactly is the trail? With all this darn sunshine, we've had plenty of hiking opportunities and would love to try it.

Really nice, Vicki. Love the blue sky and clouds in #2. It exudes anticipation (what's over the hill?).
Thanks for taking time with this series Kathy. I love your observations.

You must have a very long list judging by all of the various travel sites you post. Stay safe my friend.

Sounds like we've followed similar paths coming here from New York. My parents and I moved here from Pleasantville in the 60's. I met my husband in high school and chased him off to college. Our oldest daughter went to San Diego State to become a nurse (pediatric ICU), married a Wisconsin transplant who loved S. CA weather, and never came home. Visiting San Diego is always a pleasure. They freeze when they come here. The other daughter and her family live in Petaluma, and we see them weekly.
This trail is just south of Gnoss Field in Novato. It connects to a frontage road off Atherton. Another trailhead is behind Valley Memorial Park.
I'm glad you liked the shots Mark. With your excellent photography skills, I'm sure you'd get some wonderful landscape photos here. Right now there's plenty of water filling the adjacent "lake" (formerly a cow pasture). The reflections can be amazing.

Sorry to hear about your weather Sue. I guess the east is in for another big storm. We're having lots of rain right now, but it goes down the drain.
Thanks for the info Vicki. We will try the trail when the weather clears.
