My favorite is "heading back." Although, its a tough choice, they are all outstanding images.

I really appreciate your thoughtful reply IC. Thanks so much for taking time for this series.

I'm glad you enjoyed these Angela. This is a lovely area for a stroll, run, bike ride, or horseback riding. Although many people enjoy it year round, it never seems crowded. Right now, the wildflowers are starting to bloom, too. We desperately need rain, but can't help enjoying sunny, warm days like this one.

Sounds heavenly, Vicki and I wish I could share our rain, that's all we've been getting and now it's snowing!
But I did notice my daffodils popping through the ground today!

Yes, I wish you could share some rain, too. We had a couple of fairly dry years. Last year was wet. Now it looks like we're in for another dry spell. Our daffodils think it's spring and are out in full force.

I'm looking forward to seeing color and flowers... soon and hope you get rain soon!

During the right season we even have damsels and dragons Doc. You'd like it.

Thanks for taking time for such a thoughtful reply. I'm most grateful.

Vicki, I've been doing surveys of dragons around the country and in Central America but I've not had the pleasure of surveying in the west or southwest. I really must get to those two areas. Soon!

I took a break (almost) from playing with animal edits to get some landscapes during a hike on a favorite trail. These were taken late in the day when the light was rather nice.

Great set, Vicki! It's almost enough to make me want to go outside and start shooting away. Or maybe I'll wait until it quits snowing.

Thanks for sharing!

Indeed. Walking through this area brings peace to your soul. The only time it's unpleasant is when it's hot, but mornings and late afternoons are generally cool, and those are the times to be out with a camera anyway.

Thanks for the visit and comment one shot. I appreciate it.

I spent a good part of my childhood in New York and remember the limitations of winter. It was fun and pretty, but my father had an especially tough time getting to work as well as dealing with all of the snow on the driveway. When we moved to CA, my parents never looked back. A little snow now and then would be a treat filled with new photo ops I think. We can always drive to snow if we want but prefer watching the rare snow flurry melt and run down the drain. I hope your weather improves soon so you'll feel more inclined to get out with your camera gear.

Thanks for the visit and kind comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the set. BTW It's been in the high 60s almost every day. Sadly, the much needed rain is nowhere in sight.

Sure, rub it in!

I normally would find a way to go out in the snow for some pictures, but right now I'm nursing a sick dog, and my wife, who is a little under the weather.

I'm sorry about your situation. I hope everyone feels better soon. Just remember (if it hasn't occurred to you), SNOW is a four-letter word. I do love to rub it in only because I've been through it. We tend to take our weather here for granted, forgetting that other parts of the country are suffering. As you may recall, we had a horrendous fire season a few months ago.

Good luck.

Thank you Sue. It's good to have you back, and if you're still dealing with bad weather, maybe you can enjoy some of these sunny scenes a little more.

Fire and mudslides! As much as I hate snow, I'll have to settle for that right now.

Thank you for your kind wishes!

Really nice, Vicki. Love the blue sky and clouds in #2. It exudes anticipation (what's over the hill?).
