Lumix FZ1000, 4K video and you can grab 4K stills in camera. Also great slow motion.

Sony A6000 again. I've got over 7K shots on mine and never a problem (other than operator error).

You may wish to check out the Fujifilm X series of mirrorless cameras: http://www.fujifilmusa.com/products/digital_cameras/x/

This one may suit your need: http://www.fujifilmusa.com/products/digital_cameras/x/fujifilm_x_a5/

As well, Fujifilm offers a line of lenses for its X series cameras.

Good luck.

I'm interested in buying a small entry level/intermediate level mirrorless camera for street photography and I need some suggestions. I would like to keep the cost around $500 to $800 if possible.

I find it strange that nobody has suggested Olympus cameras and lenses. Olympus has many Pen cameras which are small, competent and easy to carry. The second hand market is full of them.
Indeed, any of the mirrorless cameras will do the job.

Agree - the Fujis are set up like real cameras with real dials, etc. I have the x-t20 and love.

Sonys are more like small computers with cameras attached.

Lumix GX85.

Frankly, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic, and Sony all make great cameras and lenses.

Read reviews, or watch them on YouTube. Then borrow or rent to try before you buy.

I've had my A6000 since it came out and have loved it. Just took it to Africa and have over 15000 amazing photo's from that adventure. This is after I took out all the bad shots. The A6000 is an awesome camera I have used mine with a 18-200 lens ($849 new) all over the world and have never had to take it in for repair. I have toyed with an upgrade but simply love this camera and cannot justify the cost of a full frame. I rented a couple of G lenses for Africa and when I can will get the 100-400 lens but you certainly do not need that for street photography. You won't be sorry with the A6000 but if you can afford it get a better lens than the kit lens they are not generally sharp. Happy hunting

That’s due to price. The best picks are at the top of, or out of, the OP’s price range, unless you shop for used gear.
