I'm interested in buying a small entry level/intermediate level mirrorless camera for street photography and I need some suggestions. I would like to keep the cost around $500 to $800 if possible.

You might take a look at the Sony A6000.
Lots of them around at good prices used.

Three times vote for the a6000. A friend owns one with the two kit lenses. The 16-50mm and the 55-210mm. Look for that bargain set. It may be available within your $800 budget. Yes, $748 from B&H Photo.

A brand new Ricoh GR II camera is priced at around $600. It is an excellent compact street photo camera.

It might be a good idea to spend a little more Example: Fujifilm XT-2

Sony has Precision Camera Repair, in Enfield, CT to repair their camera. There have been complaints they are very slow in repairing, due to backlogs. If anyone knows of the Main Repair Center, please post a link. Thanks.

Yep up to two weeks I hear, I never had a Sony go down, but I sure there are other places all you have to do is google it, If you buy a new one and there a Sony dealer. they will replace it or fix it.

Add me as an A6000 fan. Tons of shots (so far) and ZERO issues. I also have an A7ii but for a walk around camera, the A6000 cannot be beat! (YMMV)

Canon M50 just a bit over that range and is just out with some great features like 4K, and the DPAF which no one else has.
10 FPS etc. Comes with a lens for 899.
