There is one major player left out. Where are the parents?? The Feds can't legislate parental responsibility.

Surely we can. There is discussion regarding later school starting hours because the little darlings stay up too late on social media and are too tired in the morning. Oh, but wait, isn't that Apple's fault?

We already have term limits that can be imposed by the stupid voters.

Whoever said that our politicians were smart? The mail problem is the intelligence of the people who vote them in. I must stop now.

There are two problem with the laundry pods. Besides the teen fad, children have been eating them thinking they resemble candy.

Then the problem is the parents of the kids or maybe just stupid kids. The kids need to be taught better. Do we really need the government wasting time and energy on trying to legislate intelligence in kids?

If they are spending their time and our money on this, who’s going to plan or pay for Der Fuhrer’s (I mean the president’s) parade? And, odds are when the troops pass in review and salute the flag, he will brag that they are saluting him.

Our politicians are wasting time, effort, and money trying to legislate a way to make Tide change the appearance of their laundry pods. These kids are eating detergent! They are the problem, and continuing to eat the detergent will solve that problem. They can't taste good, and they don't contain mild-altering chemicals, so why are they doing it? There's no reason, so changing the pods won't solve this problem, if it really is a problem. I've used Tide and Cascade pods for years, and I've never been tempted to eat them. If they change Tide, what about the nearly identical Cascade pods? How about bars of soap, shampoo, flea dip, rat poison?
Our politicians are wasting time, effort, and mone... (show quote)

Now now Jerry! The government ALWAYS knows what is better for us than we do.

Hmm, seems to me that my parents fed me a bar of soap or two as a young brat. Guess they believed it would clean up my sassy lip.

Yes! Where does it end? At some point we need to stop trying to save people from themselves. Heaven forbid, that they learn to pay for and deal with their own actions.

We have much more to glean with drug interdiction. Narcan expenditures are but the tip of the growing effort.
