Our politicians are wasting time, effort, and money trying to legislate a way to make Tide change the appearance of their laundry pods. These kids are eating detergent! They are the problem, and continuing to eat the detergent will solve that problem. They can't taste good, and they don't contain mild-altering chemicals, so why are they doing it? There's no reason, so changing the pods won't solve this problem, if it really is a problem. I've used Tide and Cascade pods for years, and I've never been tempted to eat them. If they change Tide, what about the nearly identical Cascade pods? How about bars of soap, shampoo, flea dip, rat poison?
They just love wasting our money.
Apparently, you have tried them in a casserole.

I agree with you Jerry. They shouldn't get involved. It's just a fad and kids will get over it. They don't actually eat them. The do burst them in their mouths and then spit them out. I'm sure they taste bad.
There are two problem with the laundry pods. Besides the teen fad, children have been eating them thinking they resemble candy.

It's always someone else's fault. I don't leave knives and other dangerous items out either.

A little flea dip on a bar of soap, - utterly delicious!

I lock up my guns and leave the child proof caps on the drugs.

Until this issue started getting publicity, many people didn't think of laundry pods as dangerous items.

Whats the matter with teaching the kids to stay out of thing and or locking cabinets?

I lock my guns up, not to keep kids out but to keep them from being stolen.
When my kids were growing up the guns were kept in a gun cabinet in plain view, the kids were shown what they could do and told the consequences of what would happen if they even touched one, they were not allowed to have friends in the house when my wife or I were not home. To this day they will not touch a gun other than their own. the oldest is 57 and the youngest is 40 with two in between.
IF IT's NOT YOURS DON'T TOUCH IT.!!!!!!!

I do not agree. For many years kids were getting into the favorite storage area under the kitchen and bathroom sinks and ingesting poisons and occasionally hitting medicine chests as well. Nothing knew but the choice of products. The biggest difference today is people can proclaim their stupidity more easily with the media available.

There is one major player left out. Where are the parents?? The Feds can't legislate parental responsibility.
