I turn 40 this month (I have no issue telling people my age as I feel I look darn god for 40, especailly when you take into account I have 3 kids and one is a teenager, lol).

I've discussed this issue with a few close friends here at UHH privately and they all agree, if the Admin can not or will not take steps to remove members who are not only stealing images, but also harass other members and make them feel uneasy about being here then I will not be posting the lessons that I spend my free time on this forum. After all, why would I freely give up something I put my heart and soul into that benefits the Admin (learning how to use your camera is what he markets this site on) if he refuses to police this site?

I would like to say my recent experience was a one time thing here at UHH, but we all know that is not true. I have been singled out more than once, other members have been harassed to the point that they have left this forum, good members, very talented members have left UHH. So as a form of protest, I will hold back the one thing I can offer UHH that is of any value.

MWAC,

I understand your reluctance to post content here after your recent experience, but that would be a great loss to the rest of the membership that displays respect for your work and experience.

I can apologize for what happened to you, but I have no accountability in UHH for what occurred. With that I send my best wishes that this week will be much better than the past weeks.

WOW!! LOVE that rose!! Now, if you extend the right side to include the full 'sprig' of leaves, leaving the upper right empty and creating a 2:3.5 image, you would have an AWESOME business card background!!

Wahawk,

Thank you for your kind comments. I do have the original in both the camera file and the PSP image file, this way I can make several images in different size formats.

ok here's an idea, why don't you all design a watermark for the OP and let him have them all. I simply think he needs to learn how to do it himself or spend $10+ and purchase one from a designer at esty, who will not only give him the psd file but sometimes even create a photoshop brush for him to make it easier to mark his photos.

That is how I feel, sorry. Don't like it then that's fine with me, no skin off my back. You don't have to like me, or like my views on anything, personally I don't agree with many people on this forum.

Unfortunately for me, I was raised in a "Printer" environment. Dad worked for newspapers and did small jobs like stationary and church directories as a hobby, and it rubbed off on me so much that with the computer age I started taking over for him in designing and 'composing' the 'text' required for his jobs and then when he got to where he was unable to do the actual printing he would talk to people about what they wanted and then gave it to me to "make it work" so now I am "blessed/cursed" depending on how you want to look at it, with the thought alway in mind, "Can I find a use for that image/graphic to help someone with stationary, etc." And your picture just kinda shouts out to be made into a business/introduction card especially for a woman that enjoys flowers and gardening!!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING this awesome view!!

I have a better idea. How about letting those who want to respond to the OP's request, or not, do so without all the double standard pontificating?

I know you have one already but I did this in illustrator and PS quite quick. You can choose the best one that fits your needs.

You would open your image in PS then open the water mark png in PS select all, on the watermark and choose copy. Return to your image and paste as a new layer. Use free transform whilst holding shift key (restraining the constraints) to resize the watermark layer to fill accross centre of image and then bring the opacity of the watermark layer down as that it does not obscure the view of the image but is there if people wanted to rip it.

Remember a watermark should be subtle and not interupt peoples viewing.

IMPORTANT! Save as a layered tiff or psd file 1st then save as a flattened jpeg for uploading. Keep the original or the tiff incase you want to remove the watermark later.

I uploded with the store original option so that you can download it for your needs.

To the rest of the people who dissed Josh, then if a guy can't spend 10 minutes to help a fellow hogg what is this forum about. I bet some of you spend longer than this discussing Critique.

This was very nice of you to do for the kid mafadecay. Very thoughtful to include instructions on how to use.

For the rest of you that assumed the kid was just trying to get work done for free - shame on you! He was simply asking a favor. Since when is it not right to ask a favor of someone. Since when is it not ok to offer help for free. Jeeze! I call it kindness. I call what you do 'selfish'! If you don't want to help, just refrain from saying anything. Next time maybe you can tutor or provide a step by step instruction or a link to youtube on how to do it. I thought this site was a place to get help - not a place to be called lazy stupid or a bum looking for a handout.

umm you're right, I'm a bad, bad person who has given nothing to this form. Ha ha ha ha ha

The title of this thread screams entitlement, pure and simple, and where in the world did anyone call the OP lazy, stupid or a bum?
quote=jeep_daddy quote=mafadecay Wae'aye man! br... (show quote)

You didn't say it, but you implied it. And I'm sure that's how you made the young man feel. If he didn't feel that way, I would have felt that way had I asked for help and received your replies. Why don't you suck it up and admit you made a mistake, make ammends and move on.

I don't know anything about your work being stollen or UHH admin not helping you over problems but I'm sure that has nothing to do with this thread. So the other people posting replies making excuses for you isn't going to fly with me.

Nope, not going to happen... :) I'm sure I'm allowed to express my views on any subject posted here on the UHH.

OP asked for a Watermark, I told him were to purchase one.

So how much longer until this thread is no longer even about the watermark? I'm waiting; I love it when that happens.  Who wants to get us started on that path?

Oh really? Wish we could get some rain. Had a thunderhead move over the top of us last night. Got maybe 50 little sprinkles that had to add up to 1 drop. Unfortunately they fell on me and not on the grass that needed it.

Then keep posting your double standard pontifications. I was only trying to convince you to stop trying go control others but if you want to keep it up and reveal your double standard further you certainly have that right. Knock yourself out. I am enjoying the irony beyond what mere words could express.
