I am traveling to India for 4 weeks and am wondering what equipment I should take with me. Wanted to ask UHH photographers who may have taken a similar trip. I will be going to New Delhi, Allahabad, Udaipur, Kerala backwaters, Kerala Tea estates, Kerala wild life reserve, Pune and Mumbai. I own the following (all Nikon except Tamron 150-600mm G1 and filters): D750, 20mm, 50mm, 105mm, 28-300mm, 18-200mm, 24-120mm, CPL, Cokin P-series graduated soft ND filters, breakthrough 10X ND, Gitzo tripod, backpacks and a roll-on. I am concerned about local air travel in India as weight and size of carry on luggage may be a problem. I will be doing landscapes, portraits and street photography. Look forward to your input and suggestions. Thanks.
Sony RX10 mk 3 does it all and more with NO excess baggage !!!
Thanks, but I was not considering any new purchase.

I would take the D750 and the Nikon 28-300mm lens, nothing else. Reasonably compact, very competent, and will do almost anything you would need to do without excess weight and bulk. Also have a 77mm CPL in your pocket for when its useful.
I agree with theb750 and the 28 to 300. Unless it's a photo workshop type trip. If you are with family it's hard to set up and wait for the light to be right
I might add a small travel sized tripod or a gadget that goes with me on every trip that's the platty pod. Get the larger one.
Enjoy the trip

On a trip like that, I would not take anything I cannot keep in my possession at all times. That means it gets carried on the plane with me, not checked in baggage. I know you said you're not considering any new purchases, but you may want to consider a bridge camera, rather than needing an assortment of lenses. Candidates could be Canon SX60 (my choice for travel), Nikon Coolpix B700, or Panasonic Lumix FZ80... all a little less than $400.
A Manfrotto BeFree carbon tripod fits nicely in a carryon.

Four weeks is a long time to take all that equipment and keep it protected. I would cut it down to the 20mm,105mm, and 28-300mm. Then, depending on space and what else I would be willing to carry, I would consider the 150-600mm and the 50mm. Add in the assorted filters and support equipment and you are probably good to go.

I've been very fortunate to be able to travel and do photography. In years passed I would carry all my full frame gear. A few years back while hiking Machu Picchu, it dawned on me how crazy it was carrying all my gear. Now days I use my D500 and a 18mm-300 and a wide angle zoom lens that's it, so much easier. I recommend traveling lighter.
As for you, take your D750, 28mm-300mm, 50mm and tripod and have fun.
Thanks for your suggestions!

That really depends on how comfortable you will be carrying and using lots of gear. I prefer to travel light. Remember years ago when you bought a camera with a 50mm lens, and that was generally what you used? One body and one lens, probably a 28-300mm, works for me in most situations. Will this be a pleasure trip or a photography trip? Big difference.
I would take the 24 to 120 and d750. Spent two weeks in Japan with similar arrangement.
D750 and 18-200mm. I carried 2 cameras and 2 additional lenses when I was in India last October and had no issues with the airlines.
