Can't say this was my favorite but I got a kick out of it. It was a quick grab shot, outdoors at the local market, a huge crop, and yielded detail in spite of that and the resulting noise. It tells a story, at least, to me, about how little tykes can make strange when a camera is pointed at them. That's Mom's hand as she is chatting with me, so that was not an issue.
There's also an abstract factor in this b&w candid portrait that, IMHO, adds additional mood.

I had a handful of favorites from 2017, so it was not easy to narrow it down to one. Out of a handful, like that, I'd usually pick the best shot of an animal I don't usually see. However, this time, I kept coming back to this shot of the Grand Tetons.

Nice shot Doc.
Difficult to choose just one since I capture a wide range of subjects utilising different techniques, but I enjoy this one for its mood more than anything.
