I am voting for B&W with this one. Just look at the detail in the wood grain in the B&W. Also that plastic? with the white speckling.

That’s not plastic. It’s abalone shell.

Oh, you probably meant the pick guard. That is plastic.

Ben, this becomes a choice of purpose rather than art. As you well know, I'm more partial to black and white photography. In this case, the autograph wins in the color category.

If it were just a photograph of a guitar, the black and white would work quite well. The texture of the grain contrasted with the smooth finish and accompanying the needed accessories, pickguard and tailpiece. However, the autograph sets this apart as a special guitar and this makes for a choice of real vs. art.

Regardless of choice, the composition is really nice. It sets the stage for the autograph with enough surroundings to locate it but not overpower it. Very nicely done.

I like the color shot best as it shows off the wood tones.

Although I am a big fan of black and white, I'm thinking color for this one. Thoughts?

Color for me. The b&w looks flat whereas the color is vibrant and pops more. I think the color better expresses the mood captured by a Glen Campbell signed guitar.

I like both shots and i noticed that he signed your Taylor guitar. He never played a Taylor. He played an Ovation, Fender, Gibson, Martin, etc.,etc, but never a Taylor. Always wondered why not... it's a great guitar.

He was an Ovation endorser, and usually played their acoustics. Strats were his electric of choice, although he played some Teles as a young man. He never played Taylors onstage, but he sure played mine and said, “Man, these Taylors sure have great necks!”

Guitar sounded better when he played it then when I play it. 😜
