I got this one from Amazon. I can use it at a museum that does not allow tripods. It has a rubber foot but also has retractable spike in the bottom, camera threads on top.

Allie, I have one--it might be the mountainsmith, but the leki looks similar to the one I have. I got it from REI a few years ago and am out of town, so I can't say exactly which one it is. The idea is simple--it is a treking pole, but you can take the head off and put a camera on it. It works ok with a small camera lens combo, but it is less effective with a larger camera. You didn't say what camera you wanted to use with it.As others have said, it is a hybrid so it is not as good as my other treking poles as treking poles and it won't really support the weight of the main cameras I use. I have thought thought it might be useful traveling where I might be permitted to use it where a couldn't use a monopod or tripod. However, most of the cameras I travel with are so good in low light, I have never really used it for that purpose. Good luck.

the Leki is a great walking stick and a decent monopod. As I said, depends upon why the primary use will be. The nice thing is that there is a spike at the bottom, which is easy to push inot soil, and the top is the correct thread for a camera, so for selfies, it really works great
