My expertise is not relevant in this instance because I wouldn't touch a project like this with a barge pole. You are correct that I should have used the term 'indemnify' if I was thinking about compensation or protection from legal liability, but I was clearly thinking about avoiding blame for wrongdoing, which can be appropriate even when legal problems don't occur but ethical concerns do arise.
I would not want to be associated with this kind of activity regardless of the legal implications. Your posts in the Attic show a lot about your character, and I would not want to get smeared in that kind of association. There are things that you simply can't wash off. If I were you I wouldn't wear or keep a little blue dress, it might change your life!
If the lady in question gives you permission to publish, or at least expresses no concern, then no problem, otherwise I think you have already received the assessment of many on UHH.

I’m guessing that you don’t have a wife, girlfriend or daughter or you wouldn’t even consider treating a woman that you don’t know with such disrespect. We all make decisions we regret. To capitalize on that is sleazy. Just imagine Gloria Allred sueing you after trashing you all over the media. Imagine the legal expenses to get to summary judgment in court. Chump change to some, bankruptcy to you. Go make some non-explotive art if you have talent of your own.

I would still try to contact the lady, and see if you two can agree to anything... I take it there is no rush... What can it hurt to reach out to her, before you can't... maybe save yourself from a road that might be very expensive to go down... many have said talk to a lawyer before you do. But even before you do that, reach out to her first. Having her on your side is worth much more than you might think... Think about that for a while...

Man! The OP only asked for advise on what avenue would be best to make money off this photo! So far the OP has been portrayed as a pervert, one lacking morals, and everything else under the sun! So, if this photo was not of a nude but some other famous shot the OP had, then this thread, I think, would only have a couple of pages. The only logical explanation for this is that there are many judgmental people who are quite ready to pounce. It's amazing how we can't answer a simple question without bringing a firestorm of unasked for judgmental bashing having absolutely nothing to do with the actual question! I wonder how many of THEM have ever looked at a nude picture of a woman OR man in their life with lust in their hearts? Their is an appropriate verse concerning this.
