Any Pentax users here?
I use Pentax K3 and Pentax K10, with a wide variety of lenses from Pentax, Ashi, and third parties.
For film in medium format, I use both the Pentax 67ii with 11 lenses and the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II system. Can't beat the look of wet and super-sized prints.

Still miss my spotmatic. Wonder how many Hoggers started with one.
I did. At one time, I owned several Pentax's, but that was back in the film days. Never had a problem with a single one. However, sold all of them and went to Nikon because of more lens choices as well as other accessories. The Pentax LX was a "killer" camera body.
Hi, first-time poster here but this question got me all excited.... I got serious about photography when I purchased a Pentax PZ-1p film camera. I loved that camera and would still be using it if I hadn't fallen for digital. I have several lenses and this is making me think...maybe I should dig those out, buy some film, and enjoy that camera again! Happy to see so many Pentax users respond to this question.
I have a K_X sitting in my closet. It calls to me to buy a lens and start shooting it again. Every day it nags. Uh. Should I send it to KEH for sale or buy a medium zoom? The only reason it sits there is its weight and size. I have been using a small, light, fine bridge camera by General Images (GE). Which snarls at me for even thinking this way. Any suggestions?
I was given a Sears KS, by an older friend, because it uses the same Pentax K-mount lenses, so I actually have three, two K1000, and the Sears KS. Excellent cameras. So is the K10D, which I bought because, no film to process! I'm just an amateur's amateur!

When I shoot film, I often use a Pentax (645nII). I also use a lot of Pentax lenses on my digital Canon's!
I still use my K1000 on occasion, but after ordering and using the K-x years ago, I was so disappointed in the AF (inconsistent and tracking was horrible) I swore off Pentax. Neither Pentax or Ricoh had any interest in a fix. Several models after the K-x had the same issues. I wanted to switch, but based on the K-x poor performance, decided to abandon the brand except for film. Looks like K1000 forever! lol
I have two K-50, one in deep blue; they're very handy. Variety of lenses; the newer 18-135 is very quiet and fast focusing.

I've been a Pentax SLR owner and user exclusively since 1966: 2 Spotmatics, SF1n, Zx5n, *istDL, K10D, K20D, K7 and currently K5.

A lot of Pentax cameras here. Both film and digital. Have 2 zoom 90 WR’s that I kayaked with, wish I could find a similar digital Pentax. Currently using a K3. I have some legacy lenses and a Pentax screw to k mount adopter. Started in Germany at the BX in 1969,with a Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic. Did a small photo shoot for a radar site newsletter in 1976, with a (film) Nikon and Pentax cameras. Just liked the feel and handling of the Pentax better. So you are definitely not alone.👍

You are not alone. I have 2 Pentax film cameras, an ME and a ZX-M. I have had others but these are the only ones I have left. I always thought Pentax made great cameras and inexpensive also.
The Pentax-K1 is arguably the best bargain on the market today for a full frame, mag body, along with many other advanced features. See the camera comparison sites.
It is especially good for Astro photography with its pixel shift technology that compensates for image drift due to the earth's rotation. It also has in-body stabilization, and many other advanced features. See consumer ratings on Amazon. You seldom see them that good. For $1895, it's as good as others nearly $1000 more. It's parent company, Richo, is a $60 billion company, so Pentax is well backed.
My DSLR is a Nikon and so is my 35mm SLR and I have a Rolleicord and now Bronica ERTSi MFs, but the queen of my arsenal is my Pentax 6x7, which I've had since I bought it new in 1979 and NOTHING I use takes better photographs. I documented my kids growing up in the 90's on our beach vacations with that camera on Kodachrome and Kodachrome being what it is those images are still wondrous because I store it in the dark.

I am one, and extremely happy with it. Have a K-5 Special Edition and a K-1. Multiple lenses, many of them from the film day, both manual and AF.
We are not alone nor on the back of the bus. Check out 2 forums on Facebook: PENTAX K-1 Full FRAME USERS and Pentax Camera Users.
