BEFORE you send a lot of pictures for printing send some test photos to see what they do to them. Indiscriminate cropping is rampant. Is that orange sphere something you sent to the lab?

Most PP software allows resizing. I notice that this picture is a 3x3 approx and needs enlarging. If you stay within a small size (no larger than a 7" height) you can crop the width to fit the size you want without loosing too much quality. You're gonna loose the border though.
