A Disturbing Book that needs to be banned.

HOW TO SEDUCE WOMEN THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY
I ran across this book title yesterday, and I am going to write Amazon to try to have it banned. If this was the reason I got into Photography, I would be a sick person. There have been cases of murder by Photographer and this only denigrates all of the legitimate photographers out there.
I hope you too will help and get this book banned.

Unbelievable. I could understand if it was about how to get people to agree to be photographed or to model for you, but "... tips on how to easily set up dates and seduce the women you meet" is a bit much.

Voice distaste. Express horror that such a title could exist. But please, let’s not advocate a useless and first amendment suppressing effort to ban the book. It would only garner publicity for a book that is already getting killed by the ratings. Besides, do you really believe that a woman would be seduced by a sleeze bag with a camera?
I suspect the title is a feeble and ineffective attempt to attract attention through its “shock” value.

I heard there was a book imminent with a title paraphrasing a quote from an early 20th century British composer, Sir Arnold Bax:

It doesn't mean that Amazon should distribute it. Any merchant can make decisions about which items are not in the merchant's best interest to carry. That only happens when customers bring it to their attention for their review.

I am against the banning of books. That was a tactic that affected authors such as D. H. Lawrence, Norman Mailer and others, and it was something the Nazis did. I am all in favor of expressing displeasure to Amazon, but not to the extent of mindthink.

As distasteful as the title and subject matter may be, I can't endorse book banning. In my opinion, it violates my, and yours, 1st amendment rights.
You don't have to buy it or read it. I'll just rely on the lack of sales to resolve the issue.

With all due respect the power of banning should be delegated to the person who chooses not to buy it. We already have way too many decisions made for us without consent.

Express your displeasure and disgust. Withhold your business. But banning books,burning books or imposing political correctness are all the same thing: censorship. Start by banning this crap and eventually they WILL ban books you want to read. Or ban certain kinds of photographs. If you don't line it,don't read it. But crap has a right to be crap.

Always look at things in the reverse direction. Realize that women often seduce men, via perfumes, make up and shapely clothing. The photographers in question provide them with a more direct opportunity vs the normal setting. Remember, seduction is not the same as rape. It is a dangerous game especially in our modern accusation world.
Exactly what did Prez Bush Sr. do that he now apologizes for? What? 50 years ago. The sex game was vastly different 50 years ago. We of course know about Prez T by his own words... OK gals what did he do when?
In the 1980.. the woman's liberation decade, women would invite a man over to fix something like a cabinet hinge and then proceed from there to take advantage of a poor defenseless man multi time before rewarding him with Coffee, toast and an omelette that next morning.

I didn't say that distribution couldn't be restricted. Amazon has that legal option. I may be naive, but I still believe placing this sort of garbage in the sunlight of public disapproval works better than forcing it underground.
