It's good that you provided a link to the book you think should be banned????

I'm sure the author appreciates the free advertising.

Has anyone actually read the book, or is this furor over the title alone? Remember, the book "Zen and Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" had very little to do with motorcycle maintenance.

Suggesting banning is completely out of line and un-American, as so many have already said. I did follow your thread to Amazon and it looks like from the really bad reviews that the matter is already taken care of!

It doesn't mean that Amazon should distribute it. Any merchant can make decisions about which items are not in the merchant's best interest to carry. That only happens when customers bring it to their attention for their review.

So instead of making the moral choice yourself, you would have Amazon make your moral decisions for you? Sorry. I am quite capable of choosing not to buy this book entirely on my own. Big Brother not needed or wanted. I vote for personal responsibility.

Don't banned the book or books. Just don't buy the book, lack of money from the book will put it the trash can. What dsmeltz wrote said it all "I vote for person responsibility"

The author can always advertise and sell it himself/herself. The internet is an inexpensive way to promote one's merchandise. I am surprised in today's environment (Weinstein, Cosby and even Bush), that anyone could justify the open sale of a book that targets women. I'm surprised, on the other hand, in today's sexually free society, that anybody would really have to go to such lengths. I'd think dinner would be cheaper than a D810 and a 70-200.

On the other hand, monuments are offensive and it's okay to ban them. A plaque commemorating George Washington is offensive so it must be removed.
