if that legislation reflects the will of the people, then they should damn well lose those weapons.

The presidential election reflected the will of the people and yet we are seeing riots and protests.

Should we all damn well follow the law or only people who don't destroy buildings, cars, businesses, get violent etc?

I agree on the problem of driving with a suspended license, but would you prefer ditching the entire licensing process? Bad guys will always be around and find a way around the law. It is much like saying locks on doors keep honest people out; thieves will always find a way to break in if they are determined.

So, elect a responsible government (headed by a responsible individual!!!), have debates on the interests of the citizens, and enact legislation that is in the best interest of the public as a whole (as per democracy) and not beholden to special interest groups that wield power over politicians. Don't advocate for a bad system that is broken by today's standards and riddled with problems when an equitable solution is on the doorstep. The people who complain the loudest about potential changes to their freedoms are probably those who should not have those freedoms in the first place. Honest law abiding gun owners have nothing to fear about registering their firearms if the legislation is set up right.

And in a perfect world that could happen, but that isn't the world the rest of live in.

Very few own automatic rifles. Either you are a troll stirring up shit or stupid beyond belief!

I don't think he is stupid beyond belief, however, I think he is painfully naive and/or has seen too many 'gangsta' movies. (Either that or he believes that in America, an AK47 comes in every pot.)

Even the AK47 sold in the US of A is semi automatic.

Since I am blocked I started my own thread.

I am a gun owner/user. Rongnogno asks what am I afraid of. I am afraid of coyotes killing my calves and/or foals. I posted a sign saying "no coyotes". It didn't work. I yelled at them to stay out. That didn't work either. I shot one and put his head on a fence post. That worked.

I am afraid of someone coming on the ranch and helping themselves to my livelihood.

I am afraid for the life and wellbeing of my wife.

Rongnogno said "The argument that guns don't kill, people do is flawed." It is not flawed. I challenge you to show one case when a gun shot someone without the help of a person.

If you really believe that people who own guns are "fools, idiots, morons, and criminals" then why do you attack them so vehemently. You are either a brave warrior or you must have balls like basketballs.

You say. "The question is: Is there a need to hunt? The answer today is a definite NO." Wrong, Rong! See above.

I follow the law and you don't like it so you attack me. Smooth move exlax.

Your firearms serve a purpose in your business. The fact that you're afraid someone is after your wife...well... that's between the sheets

What a FOOL, that's where you're wrong!! You ARE the government! You don't like what the people you chose to run the country for you are doing, you have two choices, you can replace them, OR, you can run for congress yourself and then make the changes.
The government ONLY has the power WE give it...., YOU FOOL!!! LoL
Admittedly, sometimes there's an abuser, like PUTOS, but that's why he'll NEVER see another term, IF he even makes it through this one!!

I have read it, along with all of the arguments and court decisions. I still don't understand why you can't have better control of who gets to buy a firearm without jeopardizing a person's freedom. It is no different than licensing who can drive a car and who is prohibited from driving for whatever reason (i.e., losing their right to drive because of a disregard of the law).

And I still have not heard anyone provide justification for an average citizen needing an automatic assault rifle. I can understand hunting rifles, even handguns, but military weapons? Someone has to draw a line in the sand somewhere, and I am just suggesting the current line is in a bad place.

I think your strawman is off base....i don't hat a lot of people supporting automatic weapons or no background checks! Using that, IMHO, is a red herring.
