The news is very unreliable. When you have personally been involved is the reporting more than say 10% accurate. So how is it with news you can't verify. It sometimes gets worse with age too. As in it gets revised.
Guess I should have spent more time in marketing and PR, wait... I did! Oh, well. I guess I fall into the verify before trusting category. I prefer to look at multiple sources on important topics, and it is sometimes quite revealing, especially when the results are conflicting, or simply hard to validate. I guess one also identifies which sources one is more likely to trust, and which not so much.
A good story is always attractive and the art of story telling is a good one, something that the Celts have a long history of excelling in!
