Thomas, the onus is now upon you to supply evidence to support your claim. Can you do that without deferring to something that you may have heard on TV or read upon the internet, fake news being what it is?

It was on one of the regular major stations, no way for me to look now, not THAT important.

So now that is fake news as well? What is NOT fake news?

Depends on how many persons you want to talk to before you get a straight answer! :-)

You’ll never get one.

I believe many of them chose to stay here.

Real news is something that can be verified, from multiple reliable sources. Fake news is something that cannot be verified. Some things take time to verify, but those things that cannot be verified, or are heavily contradicted are suspect, and may well be fake news. It is easy to make claims in today's internet connected world and to create or reference multiple fictitious sources, much harder to verify them. Even supposedly reliable sources can be fooled: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jtxds204ZMI

Well, I am proud to say that I don't watch news, so I don't get wrapped up in BS.

That can be a good thing for each of us, especially as things get even more twisted around the axle! I try to pay attention, but take everything with a healthy dose of skepticism. I try to double check things that I consider important to myself or to others in my circle, but it isn't always easy to do. Sometimes the quick reaction creates even bigger problems.

With the news, it is interesting to see how things play out over a few days, rather than reacting instantaneously. One would hope that the people in control of our countries and major corporations would be able to exercise such restraint, or to have sufficient controls and filters in place should the situation require a fast response.

Sometimes the best news is just a consensus of the BS. You take one or two salient comments from 20 news sources, combine them and find an average (or at least a mean).

There are several of us here that can do the mean part!

Hmmm, maybe that could be the basis for a new section. No content, just mean remarks. Below the Attic in status.

How do you like your bacon & eggs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q-3qwEDyPM :)

The news is very unreliable. When you have personally been involved is the reporting more than say 10% accurate. So how is it with news you can't verify. It sometimes gets worse with age too. As in it gets revised.

Are there any new TSA Photo Equip updates?

Yes. I just traveled last week from Tucson to Charleston S.C. with my camera bag. Camera and 3 lens in the bag. Placed it on the line to be scanned and no issue. The bag was my carry on. Stowed in the top compartment.

No issues at all. Fly on Southwest.

I have an idea for all the people who are so offended by security checks at airports. Let's make two lines, that go to different airplanes. Line #1 will be the secure line, TSA et. al. They're not perfect but they are doing their best to keep airplanes from being blown up mid-air and strewing dead passengers across the countryside. Line #2 will be the no hassle line. No inconvenient security checks or questions, no X-rays, no body scanners, no shoes off, no worries about what is in your carry-on bag, no restrictions on electronics. Which line would most people choose? And what pilot would want to fly #2?
