[quote=sinatraman]This group is for Christian photographers to share fellowship, photos that glorify God.
Hi sinatraman,
I am a senior - on the north side of 80 getting back into photography since my wife died, taking the camera along to the park being a reason to get out of the house.
I noticed this "Uglyhedgehog.com" site during a Google-Search. The name interested me so I took a look and noticed this 'group'. As you can see, I replied to some of the messages, but with almost no response. Taking a closer look, there are very few recent messages.
I did try to reply, with a photo, in the section for macro-photography, but apparently did not reply in the correct way, got ex-communicated and it has made me a bit hesitant in getting further involved.
Cheers,
StanRP

Glad to see this forum. I'm a retired pastor and hospital and prison chaplain just taking care of my 97 year old father now days. It's great to come across lovers of the Lord!!!! Thanks for hosting this forum.
Praise the Lord with all your heart, all your strength, and all your will. Satan is alive and well, and using every method at his disposal to destroy mankind's faith and beliefs. So glad in America that we still have a First Amendment, and are able to speak our faith (at least for the time being) openly and with conviction. For those who feel that expressing our beliefs is somehow "divisive" I suggest that the free expression of ALL points of view is to be encouraged, and, through the Holy Spirit, all can come to the truth, and the truth will set you free. Alleluia.

Wonderful photos and words!!
Glad I found this. I spent 2 years as a church photographer mostly attending the Hispanic Service (I don't speak Spanish) but the church was very large and this group needed love. I'm talking 10,000 members, 6 locations etc and a group of probably 8 photographers. So, I've taken a lot of pics of worship services, baptisms, etc. Ironically, I was baptized at the Hispanic location also. Now, if there is any doubt in the existence of Christ, let me settle it now. This past year I was on a respirator for almost 9 days (pneumonia after a bypass). In Georgia, you get 9 days and they can pull the plug. After 8.5 days of asking God to take me, with NO response, I deny the existence of God. I will pass on in about 6-8 hours. Within a few seconds, I hear men, women, children approaching and then Jesus Christ appears for a very brief moment. He is big too ie 6'4". I see his face, eyes and he's gone. He then tells me to stop feeling guilty and enjoy my life. I make a miraculous recovery as the medicine finally starts to work. Praise God! I have taken hundreds of baptism pics and have seen the same thing, every time. There is a change in the person's face/demeanor/something EVERY time. These are total submersion baptisms. I've seen numerous baptisms in a lake with 5-6 alligators watching and they never moved. So, I will post some pics and look forward to seeing ones from others. I did learn how to shoot events, low light photography from shooting in church.
This pic, taken during a bright sunny day with flash on, was eventually created as a signed print. It sold at Compassion Christian Church (formerly Savannah Christian). I also gave copies away for those interested. Looks great in a black frame with dark grey matte. It was taken at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA and as I made a mistake when editing, the following image was created. Christ is on a cross about 25 feet up. Shot with a Nikon 24-70 2.8. I assume divine intervention took over!
