Hello Friends,
I want to rent a mirrorless camera and lens and would welcome recommendations. I tried Lensgiant.com but they only have Canon and Nikon for mirrorless and I want Sony. Borrowlenses.com has a good assortment and good prices. I anyone familiar with them? Are there any other places I should try? Thanks in advance!
Have used Borrow Lenses and Lens Rentals,,,have had excellent experiences with both...

I have used Borrowlenses and found them very good. They do Sony cameras and have a great assortment of Sony and Zeiss lenses. I had the option of a physical pick-up location along my commute which was very handy. I didn't want to return it there so they gave me a pre-paid UPS label for the return. Smooth operation.
BorrowLenses. Equipment arrives at the door when needed and you simply repack and send back. Great way to try out equipment.
I've used both Borrow Lenses and Lens Pro 2 Go with great success. Borrow Lenses may have more inventory in micro 4/3s.
I have used Lens Rentals in Cordova TN
several times in renting large lens to go
on trips for photography - Alaska, Rocky
Mtn. NP, etc and have never had anything
but great equip. and great service through
FedEx. Ted Evans

Thank you so much. Your help is invaluable. BorrowLenses has just what I want so based on all your comments, they're "the winner."
On my way to Italia with my rented mirrorless ... Looking forward to the pleasure of traveling camera-light!

Siena, welcome to the Hog!
Here's my limited suggestion. First, yes I have rented equipment.
BUT, you don't list a location. If you are in a big city, call the camera stores and see if anybody local has a rental program.
My experience is that all the rental outfits, like lensrentals are pretty good but the shipping usually is VERY expensive because they all require fast shipping and it gets expensive.
Personally I'm NOT a fan of rent to try then buy. I do my research and buy what I need. I'm also NOT a believer in the it has to "feel good in your hand" to buy it. Unless you have a physical impairment, you can use anything.
Anyway, that's just me and maybe a few things to think about. Good luck

SS - Thank you for your good advice. I plan to research then buy a mirrorless but this trip came up suddenly so rental was the only way (really didn't want to bring the 'big rig'). Thanks again... You folks on The Hog are great.
I have used borrow lenses and found them to be quite good one thing I found when using others they don't all offer insurance you definitely want insurance on those cameras and lenses in the event you break them drop them or whatever.
