Do any of you Sony A6000 owners have trouble removing the SD card? Although it pops up, there is no room for fingers. Maybe Sony should install a much stronger spring (

Same here, apparently the designer never used a camera😀

I must have gotten one of those with the weak spring.
Maybe last spring the A6300 got a springier spring. My Sony RX100m3 also sometimes springs the card onto the floor. I now use my other hand's thumb as an ejected SD card retainer.
Keep one forefinger nail a bit longer and lift by the card ridge.

Every Photographer should haveat least one Swiss Army knife, the tools are exceptionally handy. I carry two normally plus one or two other fighting knives when I won't be searched.

Reversing the locations of the battery and the card would be a good solution.
What I do is turn the camera upside down and pop it out over the desk!
Have considered carrying a tweezers in my kit.

I like the tape idea. I've been just pushing down on one corner with a fingernail, then sliding the fingernail off to the side. This usually propels it up enough to get hold of. Sometimes it propels it enough to completely come out. I usually hold the camera sideways over a table or kitchen counter to catch it if it does clear.

On my Sony A6300, the SD card ridge is next to the cover's hinge and is impossible to reach. Your fingernail would need a little hook at the end.
Absolutely a large PITA! LOL

Jerry, you have hit one of the few weaknesses of the Sony line. It is no different with the a6300. Not only is the sdcard slot difficult to use, but it is also backwards so the card's own "notches" are wrong. Both of mine will toss out the card if I hold it parallel to the desktop, push down and then slide my finger off. The card will eject to the tabletop. But that is a stupid, hokey solution for a camera so full of great features. I only have two other complaints with the a6xxx cameras. First, I really would like two card slots so I can have a backup card. Second, the a6000 does not have a microphone jack for video. The Sony mics for the MIS are crappy and the built-ins are as bad as CaNik's. The difference between the audio from my Sennheiser and from the builtins (on the a6300, which does have a mic jack) is like night and day.
I think the problem with the sdcard is that Sony still wants compatibility with the Sony proprietary memory stick.
Aside from these things, these are great cameras.

I don't have large hand and still have a problem removing the sd card..so you are not alone.
Just tried it on my a6000. Yup pain in the butt.
What a great hint, no need to become a twezzer user, or play the catch the card in the air participant, never thought of that solution
