Individually, Number one. I don't like the bridge in #2, and the hill is cut off. But the combined one is good. Good PP work.

Overall I like #1, but the water falls in #2 are much better! It's water not thick milk!
I prefer #2 because the falls in the lower left are better shown, without being occluded.
The first one just edges it for me.
I like the composition of #1; it just needs a little pp to lighten.
#2 for composition but I favor the darker tone of #1.
I'm confused. Is it just me? It looks like the clouds and water falls have been reversed, thinking in terms of shutter speed.
I prefer the clear view of the falls. But then, I would have shot each one again separately. Just me.
I have a friend from West Virginia that just got back from there. Besides photos, she brought home a cold.

Composition #1.
Everything else #2
Either way, they are both nice.
I have to agree with you. I vote #1 for Composition, #2 for all other elements.

Which composition do you like? Just got back from Iceland & will have lots more to share!
Better compositions...the first one.
They are both very nice shots but if it were mine, since you're asking, I'd go with No. 1. Even then I'd back off on the sky. What you have is very dramatic but to the practiced eye it's nothing you'd see in nature. It would probably sell, however, if you are doing that. But for my own taste, I like things to look as close to real as I can manage while still having an attractive image.
For me, when you took that step to the right so that we could see all of the closest falls, the result was a more satisfying image. It would have been interesting to see what would have been the result if you could have stepped to the left and out on the outcrop visible in #1. That would have let you keep more of the mountain. Of course, since I wasn't there, I can't judge whether that would have been safe to do or even possible.
I like no. 1. Better composition and contrast IMHO
