I look forward to that discussion. In my case, a 50 MP sensor makes a heavy crop still very sharp. In fact, for distant sightings, I would often take a shot and pull it up to max magnification on the LCD and we were able to identify it more reliably than binoculars.

Very nicely done. It encourages me to be a better photographer.
I like the lion in particular. He looks very intense, and very focused. When I first saw it, my immediate impression was that I thought it had an almost mythological feel about it. The legs of the lion, and especially the back leg, makes it look half human. And the eyes. Very intense. But that's just me I guess.
Thank you for taking the time to post these fine photos. I certainly appreciate it.................................Dave

Thank you. As you mentioned the lion, to do a "portrait" I actually made a modest crop. I attach the full photo, which I messed up a bit by not leaving enough room at the bottom for his foot. The lion looks like he is stepping on the bottom of the photo. I do not really care for that, but could pretend I did it on purpose. It was just a mistake. I attach a second photo of the same lion. I actually found that lion to be a bit creepy/scary. Not really Simba, but Scar from the Lion King movie! The creep factor was increased because he walked up to our jeep, from the third scene, having just finished eating.

Enjoyed them all. My thought, at the end, was that every single one of them could kill a person quite easily. I presume you were a safe distance away from them.

Agree with all the comments made but I have to wonder the impact if you had shot them in a vertical format instead of the landscape. Maybe an exercise in cropping on a rainy day.
